What is the Friends and Family Test?
From the 1st December 2014 all GP practices are required to ask patients the Friends and Family test questions that will be monitored by NHS England on a monthly basis.
The Friends and Family is a way of gathering anonymous feedback about your recent experience and it will enable us to understand what we do well and what aspects of the care we offer could be improved. The responses you give are not linked to your name or your medical records in any way.
You can leave feedback after an appointment, a telephone consultation, a home visit or phoning/attending the practice for administrative things such as a repeat prescription or blood results.
How will I be asked the questions?
If you are visiting the surgery for an appointment, the doctor, nurse or healthcare assistant will give you a card informing you of the website address that you can access the questions electronically. You can click on the link below to access this website. Alternatively, a paper copy of the questions will be available for you to complete whilst at the surgery. Your completed questionnaires will need to be posted in the boxes left in the reception areas. The cards and questionnaires will also be left on the reception desks for you to complete if you are just visiting the surgery to collect prescriptions etc.
